COVID-19: Now what? A travel blogger debates…

Hello from inside my house! Welcome! Sorry for the clutter, I’m in a spring cleaning mode the likes of which have never been seen before. Amazing what free time will do to you.

You’re here because I genuinely don’t know what to do with this blog right now. I have a bunch of posts written up that I haven’t posted because… well, it doesn’t feel like the right time. What is the point of having post after post of all the great things to do in Europe, when none of us will be going to Europe any time soon?

Not to mention, you can only wax poetically on the joy of staying indoors for so long before people want to stab you.

So here’s my question to you… do you want to see the same travel content? Would that provide a nice escapism for you?

Admittedly, writing about travel is an escape for me. Just a few paragraphs and I’m back in Guatemala hiking among Mayan Ruins and sipping on some of the best coffee there is.

Reading other travel blogs gives me a similar distraction too. I love bloggers who can make me feel like I’m there with them in a several day Namibian safari or trekking Angkor Wat.

But, that’s just me. Not everyone wants carefree travel content when times are anything but.

So that’s why I’d like to hear from you. Would you like more upbeat travel blogs so you can escape for a bit and daydream about an eventual vacation? Or would you rather I stopped?

Up to you, folks. A blog’s no good if you don’t listen to your readers.

Comment below and let me know! In the meantime, stay safe out there friends!
